The Ninth Annual IRISH PAGES Lecture At “Poetry In Aldeburgh 2017”

Our Annual Lecture once again goes peripatetic. In the past it has been delivered at variety of venues in Belfast, Dublin and Armagh. Previous speakers have included Tim Robinson, Patricia Craig, Louis de Paor, John F Deane and Sven Birkerts (introduced by Seamus Heaney).

This year, after two years in association with the John Hewitt International Summer School in Ulster, we move on to one of the best and most cosmopolitan poetry festivals in these islands. The poet Bernard O’Donoghue will deliver The Ninth Annual Irish Pages Lecture, entitled “The Parish and the World in Irish Poetry,” at Poetry in Aldeburgh on Saturday, 4 November at 4.15 in The Jubilee Hall, Crabbe Street, Aldeburgh, Suffolk IP15 5BN, England.
